@EndoCancer Cover stars!
Our working investigating the role of 27-hydroxycholesterol (27HC) in Endometrial Cancer is featured on the September cover of the journal Endocrine-Related Cancer.
The cover image depicts the expression of liver X receptor (LXR in green) and the proliferation marker Ki67 (red) across three grades of endometrial cancer: Well-, Moderate- and Poorly- differentiated. In the study, we found that 27HC could increase proliferation of cancer cells by activating LXR in well-differentiated cancers but in moderate or poorly differentiated cancers a drug that targeted LXR could decrease cancer cell proliferation (growth).
